A$AP Rocky’s case centered on an incident that took place on November 6, 2021, in Hollywood. He was accused of firing a semi-automatic firearm during a heated altercation with his former friend and fellow A$AP Mob member A$AP Relli (Terell Ephron).

According to prosecutors, during the dispute Rocky pointed a gun at Relli and fired two shots—one of which allegedly grazed Relli’s knuckle—an act that could have endangered bystanders and carried a potential sentence of up to 24 years in prison.
Rocky’s defense, however, maintained that he acted in self-defense. They argued that the firearm was not a real weapon but a prop—used for a music video—that fired only blanks.

Furthermore, they contended that Relli had provoked the confrontation and later attempted to fabricate evidence. After a trial lasting three weeks and only about three hours of jury deliberation, the jury delivered a unanimous not guilty verdict on both felony counts.

This acquittal meant that despite the serious nature of the charges, Rocky was cleared of all allegations related to the 2021 shooting incident
