Family Sentenced to 8 Years in Prison for 2006 Garbage Dispute Attack in Muzaffarnagar

A Muzaffarnagar court has sentenced a 58-year-old man, his 53-year-old wife, and their 38-year-old son to eight years in prison for attacking their neighbors over a garbage dispute that occurred on December 21, 2006.

The altercation, which took place in Purbaliyan village, led to serious injuries for the victims.

The convicted individuals, Vakilu Ahmed, Saeeda Begum, and their son Intezar, were charged with attempted murder and other offenses.

The court, after hearing testimonies from nine witnesses, imposed the sentence along with a fine of Rs 10,000 for each defendant.
