Donald Trump's legal team attempted to challenge and weaken Stormy Daniels' testimony on Thursday, which was confrontational as she discussed her purported sexual encounter with the ex-president and the pivotal $130,000 payment meant to keep quiet about it in the criminal proceedings.

Madeleine Westerhout, the former director of Oval Office operations in the Trump White House, tearfully confirmed that Trump meticulously reviewed the checks he signed during his presidency. She disclosed that he would contact Trump Organization staff if he had any inquiries about the checks.

For the second time, Judge Juan Merchan refused to declare a mistrial despite objections from Trump's lawyer, Todd Blanche. Blanche argued that Stormy Daniels' testimony regarding spanking Trump and the circumstances of their encounter was unrelated to the alleged falsification of business records and could prejudice the case.
