NOK: Cop Dies in Line Of Duty, compensation to split.

Bhopal: Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has announced that in the unfortunate event of a

Madhya Pradesh police officer dying in the line of duty, the Rs 1 crore ex gratia payment from the government will be equally divided between the officer's wife and parents.

A government official, citing the chief minister, stated on Friday,

"We have decided that if a state police officer is martyred, the Rs 1 crore ex gratia will be split equally between his wife and parents."
