Erin Patterson, 50, has been found guilty of murdering three relatives and attempting to murder a fourth by serving them a toxic mushroom-laced beef Wellington at her home in Victoria, Australia.
The 2023 lunch led to the deaths of her former in-laws Don and Gail Patterson and Gail's sister Heather Wilkinson, while local pastor Ian Wilkinson survived after extensive treatment.
The jury rejected Patterson’s defense that the poisoning was accidental and ruled she had intentionally used deadly death cap mushrooms, lied to police, and destroyed evidence.
The sensational case gripped Australia, culminating in four guilty verdicts that could see Patterson jailed for life.
